Lilbourn native Lakilia Taylor Bedeau, who is the 2011 Mrs. Paducah, Ky., will compete in the Mrs. Kentucky America Pageant set for Feb. 24-26 in Louisville, Ky.
PADUCAH, Ky. -- When Lakilia Taylor Bedeau was chosen as Mrs. Paducah, Ky. -- a title that advanced her to the upcoming Mrs. Kentucky America Pageant -- the Lilbourn, Mo., native said the opportunity is something she can cross off her "bucket list."

"I love challenges," Bedeau said about her decision to compete in the pageant.

Bedeau will represent McCracken County in the Mrs. Kentucky America Pageant set for Feb. 24-26 in Louisville, Ky. The women will compete in interview, swimwear and evening gown; they are also recognized for the work they do in their communities.

"We are delighted to have Mrs. Bedeau as the delegate from beautiful McCracken County. Lakilia is everything we are honoring with this pageant; smart, active in her community, church, and home," said Jo Ann Peterson, executive director of Mrs. Kentucky America. "We feel Lakilia Bedeau will represent Paducah well."
