Murder trial delayed

CARUTHERSVILLE - A jury trial scheduled for next week in the stabbing death of a New Madrid man won't take place for another six months.

The murder trial for Robert D. Rooker was originally set for Feb. 24 in Pemiscot County. It was rescheduled on Thursday to Aug. 4 and 5.

Rooker is charged in the April 23, 2010, stabbing death of Patrick Bradley in New Madrid. The case was moved to Pemiscot County on a change of venue from New Madrid County.
