SCOTT CITY -- The Scott City Rams have experienced a good deal of success in recent years, including a state title in 2008 and district title last season.

While the Rams lost all-stater Skylar Cobb from last year's 17-5 team, they return a host of talented players who saw action last year, including Jamie Scholz, Corey Rogers, Austin Raines, Justin Modglin, Alex Eichhorn, Chris Limbaugh, Landon Robert, Heath Pobst, Ryan Fortner and Brett Dirnberger.

"We are approaching this year like every other year," said coach Lance Amick. "We are putting in a good body of effort and heart. We will take the field expecting to win. Like every year we are blessed with great kids. We are looking forward to another successful year."

Scott City will see one change this year as they move from Class 2 to Class 3 and will compete in district play with Notre Dame, Dexter and Kennett.

Scott City opens the season on March 21 when they Jackson at 4:30 p.m.
