CARUTHERSVILLE -- A Caruthersville man is in custody after allegedly stabbing his father several times with a knife.
At around 1:49 p.m. Tuesday, Caruthersville police responded to a fight that was in progress where one of the subjects was armed with a knife, according to a news release from City Marshal Chris Riggs. Upon arrival, officers saw a person covered in blood standing by the doorway and another person standing outside who told officers that they should Tase him. He was told to get on the ground, but then lunged at the officers who Tased him. Even after he was Tased, the man began fighting the officers, striking one in the face. After a brief struggle, the man was subdued by officers.
