Depro sworn in as new member of city council

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston City Council has reorganized with its newest member.

For the first order of business during the Council's reorganizational meeting on Tuesday, Bob Depro was sworn in as an at-large member of the Council by City Clerk Carroll Couch following the presentation and acceptance of the election verification board.

Council members next selected Kathy Teachout, Ward 3, as mayor pro tem.

The Council then proceeded to make appointments of Council representatives to city boards and commissions.

Mike Conway, Ward 1, Tom Hedrick, Ward 2, and Maude Harris, Ward 4, were chosen as the Council's three representatives on the Professional Consulting Committee.

Depro was picked to represent the Council on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
