CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Scott County Central senior Otto Porter took his game to the national level on Saturday night competing in the Jordan Brand All-American Game at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Porter, who represented the West All-American team, played a total of 10 minutes and missed all of his three shot attempts. Although during one point it appeared Porter tipped in a rebound off the front of the rim, the basket was not credited to him.
The Missouri standout pulled down three rebounds, one offensive and two defensive, and had one full-court outlet pass that went for an assist.
The 6-9, 200 pound Porter verbally committed to Georgetown University earlier last week as the 31st overall best recruit in the nation and the ninth best small forward according to ESPN.
The West All-Americans lost to the East All-Americans 113-109.
The West was led by Anthony Davis, who is the top-ranked recruit in the nation. Davis, who is committed to the University of Kentucky, scored a game-high 29 points. Florida-bound shooting guard Bradley Beal scored 15 points. Beal is out of Chaminade High School in St. Louis.
