SIKESTON -- The Sikeston tennis team fell 9-0 to visiting Carbondale, Ill. on Wednesday at the Sikeston Tennis Courts.

"Carbondale brought a really good team over," Sikeston tennis coach Russ Dial said. "They were fundamental and sound in all areas. Again, due to varsity players being absent, some of our jayvee played very well against a solid team.

"Our last two matches have given our young players great experience and they continue to improve vastly."

Sikeston will be traveling to Poplar Bluff today at 4 p.m.
