The water just keeps rising in the Mini Farms area, just outside of Sikeston. On Wednesday many of the homes remained in danger of flooding.
SIKESTON - The city of Sikeston is beginning its preliminary assessment of property damaged by the flooding. The assessment will be of structures, not lawns, according to DPS officials.

Those with damage, who have not already been contacted, should contact Trey Hardy, community redevelopment coordinator for the city, at telephone number 471-2512.

Officials emphasized that no repairs will be performed. The information will be compiled into one assessment and submitted to the State Emergency Management Agency.
