SB I-55 Traffic Shifts to NB Lane During Repairs to AB Overpass in Cape Girardeau County

SIKESTON-Travelers in Scott and Cape Girardeau counties should anticipate delays on Interstate 55 as routine repairs are made to the Route AB overpass. Southbound I-55 traffic will be shifted to the northbound lanes with a 12-foot width restriction from north of the Diversion Channel to south of Route AB.

The lane reduction will be in place Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. When work is not underway, the southbound lanes of I-55 will be open.

Additionally, Route AB will be reduced to one lane.
