Female Athlete of the Year: Jennifer Nicholson * East Prairie

There are very few people that have helped shape an entire community.

An individual that is known by most everyone, watched by countless fans and is respected as one of their town's most treasured commodities is something that a small town like East Prairie hangs their hat on.

Jennifer Nicholson represents East Prairie pride. She symbolizes the values and workmanship that small, rural communities stand for. According to East Prairie Athletic Director Jason Aycock, she has helped give her town an identity.

"Jennifer has done a lot for, not only her school, but a lot for her family and the East Prairie community," Aycock said. "She's brought a lot of exposure to the town and I know the town is very, very proud of her. It's almost like she's put East Prairie on the map."
