SIKESTON -- Southeast Missouri residents will get a sneak peek into the life of an American farmer when the new America's Farmers Mobile Experience visits Sikeston this week.
A traveling 53-foot trailer that expands into 1,000 square feet of exhibit space, the new Mobile Experience immerses visitors in the lives of America's farm families. Tours will run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lambert's Cafe in Sikeston.
Local farmer Darren Brown played a large role in bringing the traveling display to Sikeston and will serve as the host of the Mobile Experience, according to a news release from Monsanto.
The tour is designed to educate consumers on modern agriculture and the challenges farmers face to meet the growing demands of the rapidly increasing world population.
