MOREHOUSE -- August 6 will be the last day to visit the Disaster Recovery Center in Morehouse.

A total of 1,103 survivors have been served at Morehouse DRC locations, according to the news release from Federal Emergency Management Agency officials.

"We opened up our center in Morehouse on the 17th of May at the fire station," said Sylvia Hatcher, DRC manager for FEMA.

At that first location, 850 applicants were seen. The center was then relocated on June 14 to the Morehouse Elementary School cafeteria at 420 S. Carroll St. where it served another 253 applicants.
