Local districts preparing to head back to school

SIKESTON - School bells will soon be ringing, calling students back into the classrooms across Southeast Missouri.

Classes begin Aug. 17 for students in the Sikeston R-6 School District. For the district's teachers, it is back to the classroom even sooner with new teachers arriving on Aug. 8 and the remainder back on Aug. 11.
