SIKESTON -- A lot has changed in construction over the last 80 years.

Watching contractors at work on the basement of the new Sikeston Department of Public Safety building, Charles Moore of Sikeston recalled having something many would find interesting:

"I have a film clip of them building the old post office/police department building," Moore said. "I was going through some old film and I was putting it on DVD and a hard drive to preserve it -- some of it is pretty old -- and I came across that."

Moore said he had a company transfer reels and reels of old family film footage to digital format as a present for his mother last winter.
