Grandparents serve as heroes in eyes of their grandchildren

SIKESTON -- This year Grandparents Day falls on the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. The two observations may have more in common than one would think.

Like the survivors and victims of Sept. 11, grandparents often serve as heroes in the eyes of their grandchildren.

Just ask Selena Priggel and Maggie Eby. The fourth graders at St. Francis Xavier School said they love spending time with their grandparents.
