Briefly: Sikeston football team defeats Poplar Bluff

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Bulldogs improved to 3-1 on the season with a 36-7 victory over Poplar Bluff.

The Bulldogs forced four Poplar Bluff turnovers and had an interception and a punt return for touchdowns.

Coming off his 328-yard record-breaking performance last week, Sikeston's James Watson rushed for 153 yards on 18 carries, scoring on a 77-yard run and a 66-yard punt return.

Poplar Bluff falls to 1-3 on the season.
