Post Commander Wally Allred arranges the plaques recently awarded to the Lilbourn Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7183 and the Auxiliary. The plaques are situated at the front of the area used for bingo, which is how the groups raise their money for donations. "We want to have them for the bingo players to look at. If it wasn't for them, we couldn't do all we do," said Allred.

Lilbourn VFW Post 7183 and Auxiliary are honored for community service


LILBOURN - The list of those helped by the members of the Lilbourn Veterans of Foreign War Post 7183 and the Auxiliary is long - there are hospitals, veterans homes and community projects. Over the years they have helped send students to college and families who have lost their homes to fires. And the list goes on and on and on.

Typically these donations are made without fanfare.
