CHARLESTON -- Taking a 40 point lead in to halftime, the Dexter Bearcats defeated the Charleston Bluejays 47-0.
Alex Cliff scored on a 3-yard and 13-yard run to finish Dexter's first two drives as the Bearcats went up 14-0 in the first five minutes into the contest. Quarterback Cody Stevens then connected with Chase Young on a three-yard pass with 2:28 in the frame to move up by three scores.
It was in the second quarter that Stevens rushed for a pair of touchdowns and threw for another to give Dexter a 40-0 advantage going into the half.
