Local 'felons' help raise money during annual MDA Lock Up

SIKESTON - Sometimes you can do good behind bars.

Manning the phones and bringing in pledges, the "felons" in Muscular Dystrophy Association's annual Lock Up on Wednesday proved they could do just that. Their goal at the end of the day was to raise $20,000 for MDA.

"Sikeston is the biggest fundraiser for MDA," said Kyla Evans, Cape Girardeau-based fundraising coordinator for MDA.
