Think Pink: Hospital's fundraisers planned to improve mammography

SIKESTON -- Missouri Delta Medical Center is asking area residents to "Think Pink."

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time set aside to highlight the importance of early detection of breast cancer.

"Our goal is to bring awareness about breast cancer and make sure women get their mammograms," said Sharon Urhahn, MDMC's director of marketing.

In March, the Missouri Delta Women's Imaging Center, the hospital's mammography department, began using the Hologic Selenia Dimensions Digital Mammography System.
