Men's Senior Golf League holds annual tourney

SIKESTON - The Sikeston Country Club Men's Senior Golf League recently held their year-ending handicap tournament.

Ron Greenlee - playing in the Class B bracket - took low net honors for the 18-hole event. Greenlee was honored at the league's year-end luncheon last week.

Other winners included:

Class A: 1st place, Myron Kegley; 2nd place, tie between Ron Davis and Bill Palmer; 4th place, Ron Underwood; 5th place, tie between Charles Atchison and Terry Jones.

Class B: 1st place, Ron Greenlee; 2nd place, Jim Largent; 3rd place, tie, Ron Eaker, Dick Inman and Dave Shewmake.

Class C: 1st place, Travis Garrett; 2nd place, Scott Matthews; 3rd place, Jack Jackovic; 4th place, Jim Schwaninger; 5th place, Greg Comer.

Weekly play for the Senior League is completed for the 2011 season. Competition will return in the Spring for the 2012 season. All men golfers over the age of 50 are eligible to play in the League events.
