SIKESTON -- A district championship showdown is now set as Sikeston blasted Cape Central 47-17 on Friday at SPS Stadium.
Sikeston will now host Farmington on Thursday in a battle of 8-1 teams for a chance to win the SEMO Conference North as well as the Class 4, District 1 title.
On Friday, Sikeston was never challenged as they raced out to a 34-7 halftime lead and held a 47-7 lead going into the fourth quarter.
Sikeston quarterback David Foster had a career night against the Tigers, throwing for 248 yards with three touchdowns on a perfect 8 for 8 passing.
