SIKESTON -- Dr. Theodore Wesley Roberts, 74, of Sikeston, died Nov. 2, 2011, at the Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler in Orange City, Fla.
Born Feb. 16, 1937, in Matthews, to the late William and Dorothy Fern Brundage Roberts, he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a physician in private practice and also was affiliated with the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston.
On July 4, 1977, in Long Beach, Calif., he married Kathleen Good, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are three sons, Theodore Roberts Jr., of White Hall, Ark., William Roberts and Raymond Roberts, both of St. Louis; one daughter, Jennifer Strecker of St. Louis; one brother, William Roberts of Matthews; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Nunnelee Chapel with the Rev. Geoff Posegate, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Matthews Cemetery.
