FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Gregory Bernard Tate, 42, died Nov.11, 2011, at his home.
Born May 22, 1969, in Chicago, son of Willie Wilson Jr. of New Orleans and Shirley Coleman Tate of Sikeston, Mo., he was a graduate of the Sikeston High School class of 1988 and was of the Methodist belief. He was employed by Superior Essex in Fort Wayne.
In addition to his parents, survivors include: three sons, JeTyson Tate of Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, JeTyron of Langley Air Force Base in Virginia and Nate Tate of Pittsburgh; three daughters, Svannah Walker of Nashville, Tenn., JeNeesha Tate of Sikeston and Madeline Tate of Fort Wayne; four brothers, Virgil Tate and Armster Robinson Jr. of Sikeston, Willie Wilson III of Fort Wayne and Blake Wilson of New Orleans; six sisters, Sondra Luttrelland Leslie Ellis of Sikeston, Monica Thompson and Teresa Wilson of Burlington, Iowa, Angela Hunter Springfield, Ill., and Falisha Carter of Fort Myers, Fla.; maternal grandmother, Pearlie Mae White of Sikeston; paternal grandparents, Willie and Armethia Wilson Sr. of Franklinton, La.; a special friend, Kristy McDonald of Fort Wayne; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston with Betty Ware officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
The Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
