PUXICO -- Floyd L. Hodge, 92, died Nov. 16, 2011, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 26, 1918, in Fisk, to the late Thomas and Ethel Miller Hodge, he was a lifelong resident of the Puxico area, a member of the Egypt Community Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II.
On Jan. 11, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., he married Flora Stovall who preceded him in death in September.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Frank Hodge, and two sisters, Ruby Page and Virginia Mae Holloway.
Survivors include: three daughters and a son-in-law, Sherry Ann and Wayne Burchett of Puxico and Bonnie Dixon and Kaleta Farr of Manteca, Calif.; one son, Dewayne Hodge of Cripple Creek, Colo.; one sister, Opal Lee Cookson of Puxico; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled for 6 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Wayne Burchett of Puxico officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow in the Puxico Cemetery.
