SIKESTON -- Wilbur D. Forgey, 78, died Nov. 15, 2011, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Feb. 18, 1933, in Pleasant Hill, Ill., son of the late Milo and Wilma Galloway Forgey. Wilbur had worked for Delta Ford-New Holland in Charleston as parts manager before retiring. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War.
On Dec. 21, 1953, he married Diana Scranton who preceded him in death Aug. 13, 2006.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Deborah Forgey of Moberly; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Greg Noe of Chesterfield and Teresa and Rod Anderson of Sikeston; two sisters Janette Simmering of Butler, Ind., and Linda Hallows of Louisiana, Mo.; six grandchildren, Lisa White, Jennifer Bowers, Alyssa Noe, Maddie Noe, Tyler Anderson and Jalin Anderson; five great-grandchildren, Ashley Wilson, Shelby Wilson, Destiny Gordy, Aaron Bowers, Nick Bowers; and a special friend, Frances Barborek of Sikeston.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Ponder Funeral Home, where funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19. The Rev. John Neely, pastor of Tanner Street Church of God, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
