PEKIN, Ill. -- Tomii O. Craig, 79, died at 5:55 p.m. Nov. 13, 2011, at her home.
Born Sept. 20, 1932, in Tokyo, Japan, to the late Eizabaro and Ushino Shojr Otsuki, she had worked at Hiram Walker and Sons in Peoria for 13 years as a machine operator, retiring in 1979. She was a life member of the George Maple Memorial AMVETS Post No. 235 Ladies Auxiliary in Pekin where she had been a bingo volunteer.
On June 11, 1954, at Tokyo, she married Arthur Leslie Craig who preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 2002.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Craig, and three sisters, one brother and one grandson.
Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Penny Craig of Wyanet, Patrick and Martha Craig of Charleston, Mo., and Mark and Kim Craig of Pekin; one daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte Craig and Carl Gibbs of Pekin; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Private family services and burial at Trinity Cemetery in Bono, Ark., will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin.
