NEW MADRID -- The New Madrid Historical Museum was undergoing a bit of an earthquake of its own last week. Walls were shifted and exhibits were scattered across the floor.
But this was a shake up of the very best kind -- the creation of a new exhibit all about earthquakes.
Workers with Exhibit Concepts of Vandalia, Ohio, were hammering, measuring and connecting the components to create the $102,000 exhibit. The work was being completed under the watchful eye of the exhibit's designer, Kathy Kelley, a professional graphics designer.
