SIKESTON -- Ronald "Garry" Love, 75, died at 10:10 a.m. Nov. 20, 2011, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born July 15, 1936, in Morehouse, to the late Carlos and Elsie Sheeter Love, he had been a vice president of U.S. Bank in Sikeston. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church and past member of the Sikeston Kiwanis Club. He had attended college at Memphis State University. An avid horse lover, he enjoyed spending time at the barn with his horse Jody. He also enjoyed spending time with his barn cat, Samantha and his dog, Charlie.
In October 1958, he married Barbara Bridges, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Mark Turner of Benton; one son, David Love; one brother, Steve Love of Ball, La.; two sisters, Carla Lewis of Tinley Park, Ill., and Phyllis Kinson of Rockford, Ill.; and two granddaughters, Krista Taylor and Ashley Taylor.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial with full military honors will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
