NEW MADRID -- Larry Bruce Fowler, 67, passed away Nov. 23, 2011, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 4, 1944, in Morley, son of Dorothy Fowler of New Madrid and the late Coy Fowler of New Madrid. Throughout his life he farmed with his father, Coy, and his brother, Gary, and was an avid hunter.

On Dec. 1, 1963, he married Joyce Fowler, who preceded him in death on March 20, 2001.

He was also preceded in death by one infant sister, Karen Marie.

In addition to his mother, other survivors include: one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Linda Fowler; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Coyetta Sue and Brad Blankenship and Sharon Bowen; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rodney Fowler of Portageville and Brian and Lindi Fowler of Sikeston; five grandchildren, Valerie Fowler and Andrew Fowler of Portageville, Lindsey Fowler of New Madrid and Riley Fowler and Avery Fowler of Sikeston; one great-grandchild, Lillian Grae Pikey of New Madrid; and his companion of seven years, Doris Jean Schuerenburg.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Richards Funeral Home with Bob Medlock officiating.

Burial will follow in Mounds Cemetery.
