SIKESTON -- Ovis "Sam" Sebaugh, 98, died Nov. 26, 2011, at the WestRidge Place in Sikeston.

Born Jan. 17, 1913, in Daisy, to the late Vivian and Sarah Probst Sebaugh, he had been employed as a heavy equipment mechanic by Fabick Brothers and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston.

On Jan. 4, 1940, in Cape Girardeau, he married Jessie J. Allen, who preceded him in death on June 29, 2005.

Also preceding him in death were four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Ann Sebaugh of St. Charles; one daughter and son-in-law, Laverne and Jimmy Sanders of Sikeston; four grandchildren, Greg Sanders of Springfield, Ill., Jeanna Murray of Sikeston, Andrea Bunch of Oak Park, Ill., and Jay Sebaugh of Ballwin; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held at noon today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Geoff Posegate, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston, officiated.
