NEW MADRID -- Steffanie Michelle Riley Lee, 39, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, in New Madrid.
She was born July 14, 1972, in Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
She attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Grade School and New Madrid County Central High School where she graduated with honors in May 1990. In 1993, she graduated from the Sikeston Public Schools' Practical Nurse Program. She received a license in IV Therapy from the University of Alaska in Anchorage in 2004. The majority of her career involved caring for elderly patients, both in nursing facilities and private homes.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Blan and Elizabeth Kolwyck and Fern and Robert Riley; a brother, Robert A. Riley III; and a niece, Alyisa Riley, all of New Madrid.
She is survived by: her son, Cayden, and husband, Wade Lee; her mother, Melinda Kolwyck Riley; her father, Robert (Wub) Riley (Sherry); two brothers, Ryan Riley (Elizabeth) and their children Matt and JoeBeth; John Riley and his friend Tera Kelley; Sherry's children, Joey Faires (Jennifer) and their children and Morgan Brasher (Matt) and their son.
Steffanie is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves many dear friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
