SIKESTON - Officers from the Sikeston Department of Public Safety will join in the statewide holiday DWI Enforcement Campaign to stop people from driving impaired this holiday season.
Enforcement efforts will increase Dec. 5 through Dec. 12 and will focus on reducing deaths and serious injuries caused by impaired drivers.
"Losing a loved one during the holiday season is a tragedy no one should have to endure," said Chief Drew Juden. "Impaired driving is a preventable crime, and we intend to crack down so drivers feel secure when traveling on Missouri's roadways."
