SIKESTON -- The city of Sikeston will put around three quarters of a million dollars into city streets this round.
During their regular meeting Monday, City Council members authorized staff to solicit bids for the 2012 Street and Stormwater Drainage Improvement Program.
The estimated cost for the program is $724,000, according to Steve Lee, street superintendent.
In other business during Monday's meeting:
* The purchase of a one-ton truck with a dump bed for $34,837 from Sikeston Motors for the park division was approved by the Council.
