DEARING -- Picking up their fifth straight win, the Risco Tigers cruised to a 79-20 final over the Delta C-7 Chargers on Thursday.
"It was our first Tri-County Conference game of the year," Risco head coach Brandon Blankenship said. "So it's good to start conference play out 1-0.
"Our press looked good and led to a lot of open layups and we ended the game with a good shooting percentage."
Holding a 13-point lead after the first quarter, the Tigers scored a game-high 30 points in the second quarter to take an overwhelming 49-10 advantage into the break.
Risco went on to outscore the Chargers in each of the final two quarters to seal the win.
Leading the way, Chris Pavy had 22 points for the Tigers, including a pair of 3-pointers while Luke Bixler was second on the team with 17 points.
Austin White and Jeremey Fowler added 10 and nine points each to aid Risco's cause.
Earlier in the night the Tiger's junior varsity also picked up a win, beating Delta C-7's junior varsity 37-26 with Brandon Bixler scoring a game-high 19 points.
Risco's junior varsity now stands at 1-3 on the year.
