HENDERSON, Tenn. -- Annie Kathryn Young Carroll, 81, died Dec. 14, 2011, at the Chester County Healthcare.
Born in McNairy County, to the late Edgar Dwight and Patie Brooksie Tedford Young, she worked over 20 years in the cafeteria at the Chester County Junior High. She was a Girl Scout leader and a member of the Clarks Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
In 1952, she married Lois Wayne Carroll who preceded her in death in September 1992.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Ray Young and Harold Young, and one sister, Maxine Johnson.
Survivors include: four daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Howard Bud Ward of Henderson, Anne and Johnny Duke of Lexington, Judy and Mark Shostrand of Henderson and Joyce and Jerry Pruitt of Finger; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Caroline Carroll of Sikeston, Mo.; three brothers, Fred Young and Jerry Young of Henderson and Neal Young of Jackson; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Saturday at the Shackelford Funeral Directors--Casey Chapel with Glenn Harris and Randy Hysmith officiating.
Burial followed in Clarks Creek Cemetery in Chester County.
