ROWLETT, Texas -- Linda Sue Collier, 55, formerly of Bertrand, Mo., and Sikeston, Mo., died Dec. 20, 2011, at Rowlett.
Born April 30, 1956, to the late Robert Leonard and Antoinette Marie Sgarlata Collier, she moved to Rowlett in 1986 and began working at Dallas Center for the Developmentally Disabled. She was a 20-year member of the Rylie Rounder Special Olympic Team participating in track and field events and bowling.
Survivors include: her sister and brother-in-law with whom she lived, Cathy and Keith Woodson of Rowlett; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Gary Sparks of Camden, Tenn.; and a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Janet Collier of Spring City, Tenn.
Visitation will be held from 1-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo. Graveside services will follow at the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston with the Rev. Michael W. Brewer, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Charleston, officiating.
