DYERSBURG, Tenn. -- The New Madrid County Central Eagles fell into the loser's bracket of the Dyersburg Christmas Tournament with an 86-60 loss on Tuesday afternoon.
NMCC fell behind 18-11 after one and could only watch as hot shooting Brighton exploded for 51 points in the next two quarters to take a comfortable 69-35 lead into the final frame.
Lamonte Nelson led the Eagles with 14 points while Darrin McGloson added nine.
NMCC (2-6) will be back in action today at 11:30 a.m. in a consolation bracket semifinal game.
