Dexter girls pull away from Farmington

FARMINGTON -- The Dexter Lady Bearcats opened the 2012 season by using their inside game to quiet the hometown Farmington Knights in a 72-41 win on Monday.

Dexter got double-doubles from both junior Brittany Harris and sophomore Paige Patterson as Dexter jumped to a quick 12-2 lead and lead 21-12 after one quarter.

The Lady Bearcats led 34-24 at halftime and held nine point advantage after three before pulling away in the final quarter.

Patterson led Dexter with 21 points and 11 rebounds while Harris finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Hannah Noe added 10 while Mollie Whitehead grabbed eight rebounds.

Dexter (11-2) will be off until next Monday when they take on Kennett in a rematch of the finals of the Lady Royals Holiday Classic.
