PUXICO -- Bonnie Jean Lewis, 72, died Jan. 7, 2012, at her home.
Born Oct. 24, 1939, in Kinder, to the late James and Etta Belle Massey Daniels, she had lived in the Puxico and Kinder areas most of life. She attended the General Baptist Church in Puxico. She and her husband were the owner's of Cliff's Market and also worked at the Puxico Nursing Center.
On March 21, 1955, at Zalma, she married Clifford Lewis who preceded her in death in May 1985.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Virgin Daniels, Clelan Daniels, Donald Daniels, Robert Daniels and Les Daniels, and three sisters, Laura Mae Browning, Ilene Robertson and Judy Gale Daniels.
Survivors include: three sons, Von Lewis of the state of Oregon, Dewaine Lewis of Dudley and Jamie Lewis of Bloomfield; one daughter, Cindy Murphy of Hammond, La.; one brother, Lonnie Daniels of Troy; four sisters, Betty McCleary and Vera Alberternest of Moscow Mills, Hazel Christensen of Sunset, Utah, and Vera Daniels of Troy; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled at 6 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Ray Placher of Puxico officiating.
Burial will be in the Puxico City Cemetery.
