EAST PRAIRIE -- Roxie Beyerbach, 89, died at 9:10 p.m. Jan. 9, 2012, in the East Prairie Nursing Center.
Born Jan. 8, 1923, near Bertrand, to the late John and Mamie Ellis Davenport, she lived in Mississippi County her entire life and was a member of the First Church of God in East Prairie.
On Nov. 20, 1940, at Charleston, she married William Johnny Beyerbach who preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1994.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Johnny Wayne Beyerbach, two brothers, G.W. Davenport and James Davenport, eight sisters, Edna Berry, Beatrice Moody, Louise Strickland, Lorene Stancil, Pauline Davenport, Nora Lou Taylor, Dorothy Russell and Mary Lucille Davenport, and one grandson, Kelvin Black.
Survivors include: one son, Larry Beyerbach of East Prairie; one daughter, Betty Black of East Prairie; two sisters, Elzora Robey of Campbell and Jo Alma Comstock of East Prairie; and six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Larry Smith will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Anthony Moody, John Dodge, Tom Robey, Kellan True, Charles Moore and Johnny Davenport.
