Winter weather advisory to stay in effect until 6 p.m.

PADUCAH, Ky. - A winter weather advisory will remain in effect until 6 p.m. today for Scott, Mississippi, New Madrid and Stoddard counties, according to the National Weather Service.

The heaviest snows are expected early this morning and should become light by midday. The snows will come to an end from west to east this afternoon, the Weather Service said.
