RISCO -- Rosenell Johnson, 94, died Jan. 11, 2012, at her home.
Born Aug. 23, 1917, in Turrell, Ark., to the late George Washington and Mary Evelyn Greenhaw Thresher, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Risco.
On Dec. 22, 1933, in Marion, Ark., she married Albert Sidney Johnson who preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1998.
She was also preceded in death by one son, David Johnson; two sisters, Louise Arguelles and Ethel Mathison, and six brothers, Herbert Thresher, Walter Thresher, Harry Thresher, George Thresher, Robert Thresher and Chester Thresher.
Survivors include: seven sons and five daughters-in-law, Charles and Edith Johnson of Kansas City, Mo., George and Theresa Johnson of Eufaula, Okla., Richard and Bobbie Sue Johnson of Tampa, Donald Johnson of Williamsville, Ronald and Becky Johnson of Bloomfield, Patrick and Sue Johnson of Parma and Arles Johnson of Risco; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Melba and Bobby Brown of Malden, Nelda Ward of Arnold, Wilma and Tom Pacey of St. Genevieve, Alma and Don Hoover of Fulton and Linda Johnson of Springfield; one sister, Bertha James of Pontiac, Mich.; and 27 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted today at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
