SIKESTON -- Catholic schools are gearing up to celebrate their faith, academics and service through a weeklong event that begins Sunday.

"With this year's theme -- 'Faith, Academics and Service,' I think it's really important for our kids to know -- especially with the service -- how important it is to help other people," St. Henry School Principal Alice Harvell, said, adding the Charleston students will visit with residents at the local nursing home.

Students at St. Henry School in Charleston will begin their weeklong celebration with Mass on Jan. 28.
