JACKSON -- The Sikeston freshman basketball team took care of the New Madrid County Central Eagles 53-44 on Wednesday night at the Jackson tournament.
With the win, the Bulldogs move on to the semifinals where they will face Notre Dame at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
The Bulldogs, who held a slim 1-point advantage over NMCC, 24-23, at the half outscored the Eagles 29-21 in the second half to pull away.
Sikeston received 20 points from Zach Jackson while Luke Williams added 10.

PERRYVILLE -- Kayla Seabaugh's 17 points and seven rebounds helped lead the St. Vincent girls basketball team past Chaffee 51-21 on Wednesday.
Storm French also grabbed seven rebounds, while Courtney Heberlie tossed in 10 points for the Indians (12-6).
Jordi Pruitt, Taylor Fodge and Ellie Sigman all scored five points to lead the Red Devils.
