BENTON -- Scott County Women in Agriculture are looking for a new crop of members.
Sponsored by the Scott County Soil and Water Conservation District, the group was formed on Oct. 5, 2000, according to Kay Dover Wilson, charter member. Wilson said the idea to start the women's ag group was suggested by her counterpart at New Madrid County's Soil and Water Conservation District who had established one in that county.
"The organization's goal is to educate others about agriculture and to provide an atmosphere of fun, fellowship and support," said Jolene Felter, the Scott County group's president.
