BENTON - Who says learning about compound interest and the importance of paying bills on time can be fun?

The students at Kelly Elementary School do. Fourth and fifth graders have discovered MoneyIsland.

Provided to the Kelly School District as well as nine other Southeast Missouri Schools by Focus Bank, MoneyIsland takes participants into a virtual world to learn real-life principles about being responsible with their money.

Vicki LeGrand, computer teacher for the kindergarten through seventh grade, introduced the Focus Bank program this year to the youngsters at Kelly Elementary School.
