SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Ethel Kathryn Vinson, 80, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died Jan. 25, 2012, in Shelby Township.
Born Jan. 28, 1931, in the Crosno community of Mississippi County, Mo., to the late Claude Walter and Marie Hutson Housman, she had lived in Shelby Township a number of years and was of the Pentecostal belief.
On June 24, 1950, she married Sylvester Vinson, who preceded her in death on May 23, 2000.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Marie Vinson, and three brothers, Bruce Housman, Albert Lee Housman and Claude Housman Jr.
Surviving are: three sons, Clifford Vinson of Marion, Ill., James Vinson of Columbia, Tenn., and Ricky Vinson of Algonac, Mich.; three daughters, Ethel Frieda Pringle of New Baltimore, Joyce Vinson of Franklin, Tenn., and Karen Milton of Shelby Township; three sisters, Norma Faye Holt of Highland, Calif., Delma Jean Holt of Redlands, Calif., and Sharon Fernandez of Arlington, Ky.; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Monday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Walter Bryars of East Prairie will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
