Sikeston man jailed for child molestation

Ronnie G. Newell, 41, is charged with first degree child molestation, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. Bond is set at $75,000.

The Scott City Police Department received a report that Newell had taken inappropriate photographs of a 10 year old female, according to a news release issued by Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter.
