JACKSON -- Cecelie Elliott Pike, 46, died at 4:16 a.m. Jan. 29, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 1, 1965, in Sikeston, to Faye Powell Elliott of Charleston and the late George Robert Elliott, she was a 1983 graduate of Charleston High School and had attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. A member of the St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston, she volunteered her service in many capacities. She had served as a school board member for St. Henry School where she coached the basketball team and kept score and statistics.
On Oct. 14, 1988, she married Richard "Ricky" Pike Jr. who survives of Jackson.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by: one daughter, Christina Nicole Pike of Jackson; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Elijah Franklin "Eli" Pike and Christopher Scott and Staci Pike of Jackson; one sister, Kathy Elliott Slaten of Charleston; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Frank and Delphia Elliott, and maternal grandparents, Jack Powell and Roberta "Bobbie" Powell.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Henry Catholic Church. The Rev. Glenn Eftink, pastor, will serve as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
